LOPEZ SANCHEZ IP is a boutique law firm specialized in Intellectual Property services, founded in Caracas, Venezuela, in May 2018 by Adolfo Lopez (Peru) and Carlen Sanchez (Venezuela), who both earned a Master of Laws Degree in Intellectual Property Law from Franklin Pierce Law Center (New Hampshire, USA) and have over 20 years of professional experience in the field.
The vision behind the firm’s creation was to capitalize on the diverse professional experience, strengths, and cultural backgrounds of both founding partners, in order to offer clients a comprehensive, adaptable, and timely approach, built upon a true spirit of teamwork. The firm’s purpose has always been to foster closeness, trust, and loyalty with its clients, enabling it to provide personalized legal services genuinely aligned with each client’s specific interests.
Following Adolfo’s professional experience at the Peruvian Trademark Office (INDECOPI), in August 2024 the firm expanded its presence and began operations in Peru. Today, LOPEZ SANCHEZ IP has a consolidated professional team, and the firm and its partners are active members of international organizations such as the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI).
To remain at the forefront of the latest developments in Intellectual Property, the partners regularly participate in prestigious international IP conferences, including the INTA Annual Meeting, INTA Leadership, INTA Trademark Administrators Conference, INTA Roundtables, ASIPI Annual Congresses and Seminars, ECTA Annual Meeting, and events organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland. This active involvement has also allowed them to build a global professional network, enabling the firm to offer equivalent services in any country through partner firms and colleagues who share the same vision and values.
